The Little Burlap Barn
The Little Burlap Barn is a Southern California boutique home décor shop run by owner Ashley, selling charming, seasonal, and vintage-inspired products to customers across the US. When Ashley came to me, her existing Square site had hit its ceiling — it couldn’t scale with her growing catalog, the collections were hard to navigate, and the store’s overall feel didn’t match the cozy, curated personality that makes the brand so special. I built her a fully custom Shopify store designed to feel like an extension of the barn itself: layered, textured, and full of warmth, with a vintage scrapbook-style aesthetic that makes you want to linger. Behind the scenes, the build was no small lift — I migrated and organized 400+ products, set up shipping integrations for seamless fulfillment, and built out a candle subscription feature for her most loyal customers. Plus, the addition of hand-drawn cart icons, coded chart on product pages and hand-drawn icons made the site really come to life. The result is an ecommerce experience that finally does justice to Ashley’s products and gives her business the room it needs to keep growing.
